This module introduces the multifaceted role of a music producer, covering both the creative and technical aspects of production, from arranging and songwriting to mastering. 

This module covers the entire production process, from the initial meeting and pre-production to final mastering, highlighting key stages such as bed tracks, overdubs, editing, mixing, and communication with recording engineers. It emphasizes the importance of careful planning, collaboration, and technical knowledge to ensure a smooth recording process, from budget discussions to finalizing the mix and mastering, while fostering strong relationships with engineers to maintain the artistic vision throughout the project. 

This module focuses on the essential tools and processes in modern music production, including understanding microphones, audio interfaces, DAWs, and signal flow, while exploring the technical aspects of the studio environment. 

This Module explores the business aspects of music production, covering the industry’s structure, contracts, and the importance of networking with professionals across various sectors. It dives into the sales and distribution process, including digital and physical channels, certification systems in Canada, the U.S., and globally, as well as the various revenue streams available to music creators, such as royalties, licensing, and merchandising.
