This course will provide students with the intermediate knowledge of designing, assembling, and maintaining a home recording studio. During this course student will learn the acoustics principles of sound isolation, diffusers, bass traps, and placements to maximize the sound quality of a home recording studio. Students will also learn the essential equipment, connections, and maintenance required for a home studio including computers, DAW’s, microphones, cabling, interfaces, monitors, headphones, and musical instruments.
This module covers additional home studio essentials, including mic stands, preamps, pop filters, and direct boxes, which enhance recording quality and workflow. It also introduces control surfaces for streamlined operation of your digital audio workstation.
This module focuses on monitoring equipment for home studios, including studio monitor speakers, subs, and headphone systems. It covers proper placement, calibration, and the use of amps and playback devices to ensure accurate sound reproduction.
This module explores additional equipment options for home studios, including patch bays, outboard processors, and effects to enhance audio production. It also covers instruments, MIDI controllers, and studio furniture to create a versatile and functional creative space.
This module guides you through finalizing your home studio design, including selecting and financing equipment, physical setup, and making connections. It also covers studio operation, regular maintenance, and updates to ensure long-term functionality and efficiency.
